Zombies 7 days to die3/1/2024 Some players like to just do missions and build a minimal base., others like to build nice elaborate bases. or stick to 8-bit games.Īlso I wanted to add that one of the features of this game is the base building aspect. ![]() If you wanted to do AFK for a horde night, it still easily done. There is a damn good reason most seasoned players have a Horde base separate from their home and crafting base. If you can't handle the challenge, you are free to alter your game settings to make it easier, or utilize mods to change the experience. You don't have to agree with it, but the game is designed to be a challenging title in the survival genre. They don't want you to sit there safe and AFK your horde night. Part of also it is an intentional game mechanic. Spawning them further out requires a lot more CPU cycles to calculate, and that isn't even bringing up possible game engine limitations. Pathing calculations get more expensive the farther out you go, and this game need to be playable on a relative potato PC to meet the min-spec standards. This is a fully 3D voxel game with a lot more overhead that something with fixed terrain and 2D walls like 98% of the other games out there. ![]() I remember in a10 having to fight them out of the basement of our base because I died and respawned down there. Originally posted by codem:I don't believe it was always this way. But if you fight horde night there, the large size could give you trouble.Īlso a LCB does not prevent horde night spawns or screamer spawns. Note you can still build a huge elaborate mansion for the rest of the week. Just keep the land area footprint small enough for you to cover. Build up if needed, for sniper towers, turrets etc. They won't spawn within 20m of you, so if you are inside 20x20 walls you are covered for spawns inside your base. What this means is, for horde night, stick with a 20x 20 base. Btw, the game, and the enemies don't care in the slightest where your walls are. ![]() But a good guide is 25 to 50m away from the block you are standing on. Or it may depend on the strength of your hardware, such as memory. Horde night enemies spawn in a perimeter around you, the player. Originally posted by codem:Is this a common bug? Has it been reported for Alpha 20 already?
